Russell returned to New Zealand as a Parelli Professional in 2000 after spending 18 months living and studying at the Parelli Center in Colorado. As one of Pat Parelli's Apprentices, Russell gained an in-depth knowledge of the programme and how it related to young horses, difficult horses, performance horses, miniatures, mules and draft horses. Russell travels internationally each year to teach and studies with Pat and Linda Parelli as well as top instructors to further develop his teaching experience and skills. Russell is committed to furthering his horsemanship and that of his students - “my goal is to help you reach yours, naturally”.

Russell teaches clinics and courses throughout NZ and the UK. His other services include Official Levels Assessments for students of the Parelli Programme, Starting Young Horses Under Saddle, Trailer Loading problems solved and the sale of Parelli equipment and educational products.
